This is the best coffee shop in Little Rock. I've lived in Little Rock for 21 years and been a barista nearly a quarter of that time, never at Guillermo's, but it has always been my favorite place for coffee. They roast their own beans in-store and all the baristas know how to operate their manual espresso machine and pull perfect shots.

Hands-down the best coffee in Little Rock. The staff is friendly and well-trained for being young, and Hans is very dedicated to his craft. Unlike Starbucks (Char-Bucks), the coffee isn't over-roasted. Their hours/days of operation seem a bit funny for a coffee shop, though, but the owner is receptive to suggestions, and the staff tries very hard to please. Yirgachef is perhaps the best coffee blend followed by the PNG - The pumpkin spice latte is also a great choice, and the smoothies are good as well. They are a must-stop for any coffee lover in the LR area.

I had an Event Scheduled at Guillermo's for a party of 24. Three hours before the event was suppose to start I received an Email...(not even a phone) saying they were closing the store early and was canceling my event. Even though I had scheduled the event two weeks in advance, the owner acted as though he had no knowledge of the event. The worker who helped organize the event told me they informed the boss that the event was occurring that night and the Owner replied he didn't care he was closing the store regardless.

Great combination of friendliness, comfort, and elegance. Conscientious with drinks- mgr roasting right by the front door in the am, said they roast almost two ton/month for Arkansas shops. Goood wifi, plugs everywhere. Private rm for meetings or calls- perfect for me, passing thru on business. A gem.

To me, getting a cup of coffee that isn't freshly roasted is a tragedy. I love that this place roasts their own beans, and you can taste the difference. The staff is very knowledgeable, however on more than one occasion I have had to wait several minutes for someone to come to the front to take my order. On the whole, I do appreciate the relaxed, mom and pop atmosphere, but on the way to work in the morning this can be problematic. I also wish they were open on Sundays. Barring those two things I would give it 5 stars because there really isn't a better cup of coffee to be had in this town.

Love this place. Breakfast sandwich with ham is delicious. Their lattes are amazing. And their service is top notch! They make you feel like you're visiting a friends coffee shop. Super friendly and welcoming. We even grabbed some fresh grounds for later. We stopped by on our cross country move...please open a coffee shop in Florida!!

First time at G3. The staff were super friendly, I was greeted when I walked in and my barista was very pleasant while I ordered as well. However, I'd rate my espresso at about a 4/10. I think it was only $1.50 so I wasn't upset but I definitely wouldn't order one again.

But enough about coffee, let's focus on the tea. G3 does an excellent job here, giving you a wide selection of loose leaf options, and a timer to tell you when to take the leaves out of your cup. To really perfect it, I'd use a bit more leaves (they're cheap), a non-disposable cup, and a whole milk option. My coffee drinking companion found the coffee to be good too, and the staff makes a special effort to be friendly. Note: I went to both Mylo and G3 on my trip home last week, and in each case the person sitting next to me was studying - not just reading, but actively taking notes on - the bible, which hit me with about 120 volts of culture shock. That's why you travel, I guess, to see things you'd never come across at home.

Friendly, great facilities, great coffee, plenty of parking, highly recommended. Try their espresso shot over ice.

Very tasty iced vanilla latte w/almond milk but I only got to enjoy about 25% of it. Be careful with the cold beverage cups, the tops pop off easily when the cup is full. Off to Google coffee stain removal and mourn the loss of my yummy latte :(

I liked the ambience and the look; I had an iced coffee and it was ok; bagel with cream cheese as well and I was slightly underwhelmed for the price but it was still good. The lovely barista was very friendly and so very helpful, and that is what really made it a four star establishment rather than a three. Great lady and lovely cafe.

Great atmosphere, super nice staff. Fantastic coffee and Internet that works. Best combination for a smooth coffee spot. Definitely will make this my go to coffee spot in Little Rock.

This is exactly what coffee should be. Forget about Starbucks. Come here and have some actual good coffee.

Guillermo's is absolutely, by long and far, the best coffeehouse Little Rock. Dark ambiance, deep leather couches, but could improve upon the music. Also boasts the most knowledgeable barista I've ever met in my life.

Basically no competition for G3 in West Little Rock outside of Starbucks. Still a decent place to get coffee and doesn't get as crowded as Starbucks or Mylo. Plenty of room to relax or study. They do have a meeting room so a good place for groups.

Best espresso for hundreds of miles around. Great friendly attitude! Two regrets: styrofoam to go cups and no soymilk only almond. But these are more than compensated for by the quality of their coffee!

I was dying for coffee on our long drive from Dallas and found this place through yelp. There were tons of the yellow caution tape plastered in front of the store and I really thought this place closed down due to a crime scene. Good thing it was Halloween decoration (but I completely forgot about it)! Walked in and there was a section of tables and chairs that people could easily study or chat with old friends. It is much roomier and quieter than Starbucks from my first impression. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte while my boyfriend got the salted caramel latte. They were both really good although be prepared to introduce your body to a bunch of sugar (you could switch to sugar-free in the coffee). I think their coffee is fresh? I saw the barista grinding some coffee beans. Anyways, I thought their coffees tasted great, fresh, not too sweet, and kept me caffeinated for the rest of the day.

We have been having weekly business meetings at Guillermo's for the past several months and couldn't be happier with the service we've received! Everyone is always very pleased with their coffees and teas, and I always get the ham panini crunch and the turkey panini to go for my husband and me...yum! Briah is usually on duty when we have our meetings and she really goes out of her way for us and always makes us feel welcome!

It's very important to know firsthand that I LOVE MY COFFEE. I try local coffee shops every where I go, if possible. I've been spoiled by Starbucks (being the first coffee shop I ever been to and therefore got used to their coffee), so although I'm not proud of it, almost every new place I go to is measured on the Starbucks scale. I've had some great comparisons, better comparisons, and some downright icky comparisons. I do tend to be a little hesitant when spending $4 for a coffee that may not taste good. But, alas, it is my mission. Went to Guillermo's this weekend because it was closest to my hotel. It was breakfast hours, and was pleased to see they had a small menu of pastries, bagels, etc. My husband and I ordered Peppermint Mochas and bagels. Our barista was friendly and had our order up pretty quickly. We sat at a table by the window, looked at each other, cups raised, and here goes! Yum. Guillermo's has good coffee! It makes me so very happy to find a good espresso, as I feel I'm rather strict on what I find tasty. It was chocolately, but not too much, and had a decent ratio of peppermint. The coffee roast was not bitter, which is my main complaint. I did not have to do my obligatory stir with a spoon (gets the chocolate up off the bottom) in order to make it taste better ~ it tasted just fine as is. So if I ever find myself in Little Rock again (it's a possibility), I will definitely head back to Guillermo's. And coming from me, one who is sometimes hard to please, that's a big compliment.

Just driving through on our drive from Nashville to Dallas and found this place. Great coffee, and more importantly, if you want to see actual barista skill in pulling a good shot of espresso (instead of just pushing a button), come here!

Shame on me for forgetting to update my review. These five stars are for the owner, Hans Oliver, who contacted me for more details about my bad experience and an apology. ALSO.. I have since returned several times and had a wonderful experience. The coffee was EXCELLENT and so was the service. Love an owner who truly cares about their customers.

While I have thoroughly enjoyed the vibe and especially the lattes from Guillermo, the location is tough for me. I would love a better alternative than Starbucks for my daily coffee fix; however, stopping at Guillermo's adds an additional 10 minutes to my morning commute that I typically do not have... Again, love the lattes! Keep on steaming.

My husband and I showed up at 6:40 am on our way back to Austin. We didn't realize they were not open yet but the owner opened up special for us! Which was great cause we had our three month old who needed to be changed and it was freezing outside. He made us awesome almond milk lattes and filled our thermos with coffee for the road. This was our 2nd time to Guillermo's. Every time we go through Little Rock we stop here and will continue to do so!

I need to go to this place more often. I always like studying with a cup of coffee, and this is a good place to do it. I do wish the smaller tables were a little bigger, but that's a minor quibble. If the place didn't close at 8, I'd probably be there a lot more often as I often end up studying much later, so it doesn't do me any good to go somewhere, only to have to leave after a couple hours. I get so tired of corporate coffee [looking at you, SBux], and this place is always a bit of a change from that. It's pretty much without competition in Little Rock for coffee, as this town has Starbucks.. and Guillermo's. You're better off here than those other places. How they stack up 5 star reviews bewilders me. Also, G3 gave my medschool class a bit of a break on our coffee supply, which I'm sure kept us from rioting on a few bad days.

I am a Little Rock native. Since high school have been driving far out of my way for Guillermo's coffee and atmosphere. I have never thought of myself as a "regular" and never expected anyone to remember my name or my coffee order but I had become acquainted with many of the baristas and they were all very nice and welcoming. The previous owner was also very nice and helpful. I would frequently bring my own snacks and food in (mostly from Whole Foods) and feel very welcome, despite the fact that the "coffee shop" was selling their own mediocre food options. It never seemed to be a problem. Out of town guests and a whole slew of coworkers who had just moved to Little Rock asked me where the best coffee shop in Little Rock was and I immediately pointed them in the direction of Guillermo's. Unfortunately, since new owners took over, the location has been less than inviting. The coffee is still roasted by the previous owner, which is a plus. But the new owners and workers are not quite as hospitable. They seem far too worried about making money than actually creating a positive experience for their guests. I suppose it is a business and money making is important, but the good vibes just aren't there anymore. I do not feel welcome. Let me repeat myself, I am an Little Rock native and am 100% about supporting local businesses, but I will have to take my business else where.
